Silano is a pre-hydrolyzed, single-component solution consisting of 3-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane in an ethanol solvent. It acts as a chemical bridge, increasing the adhesion of resin cements to ceramic, porcelain, and fiberglass surfaces. By improving the wettability of the substrate, it allows the resin to flow into the surface irregularities more effectively, creating a strong hybrid bond.
